Wordpress is a great cms for small to medium websites. Wordpress has a very flexible system, the developers offer at every corner opportunity an opportunity for the developers to modify how the CMS operates.
The templating system is so lose that it allows you to modify the most specific page. Allowing a developer to bend any Wordpress installation to his will.

I think that they could improve on their widget system and the development community hasn’t yet taken advantage of this CMS as a clay foundation.
