My first goal is simple; make a living from Software Development. My preference is not to develop your website, but to provide you with the software tools that you need to accomplish your own goals. If you have a software idea, give me a call.

I have used Jonathon Byrd for the past 2 years for three main reasons:
1. Jon is willing to help me brain-storm ideas so projects are done in the most efficient and cost effective way.
2. I can reach Jon on regular basis so no issue goes to long with out finding an answer.
3. Jon is good person who is looking out for my best interests on all projects.

Dominating the Symphony system
Jonathon Byrd Posted February 8, 2010 at 11:18 pm
As described by the Symphony developers, I was easily able to pick up on the Symphony framework within a day. I completed the program that was budgeted for 30 days, within 8 days. We're in the beta stage and should be ready to output a solid program by the end of the week.
If you have a system that frustrates other developers, schedule a time to have me look at it. ...

It’s been crazy lately
Jonathon Byrd Posted February 8, 2010 at 11:11 pm
I greatly apologize for not being as active on my plugin as I know that I need to be. I've been swamped now for the past few weeks and have only sat down in front of my home computer for an hour or two before I crash on the couch.
I'll get over this hurdle and get back to regular updates of the plugin as soon as possible....

SugarCRM and Wordpress?
Jonathon Byrd Posted January 31, 2010 at 11:40 pm
What are websites for? Rather simple in my opinion actually. A business website should have the focus of creating business contacts and increasing a business' income stream.
So when I think about a successful mid sized company, I first think about Customer management not Content management. I think about conversion rates and data tracking. Content should come naturally for a company like this, ...

Learning Symfony
Jonathon Byrd Posted January 21, 2010 at 10:11 pm
I'm being contracted to develop a top secret product. The website's have been developed on the Symfony library, therefore I'm stuck with the new project of learning Somfony for this client.
With never working with Symfony before I wasn't sure what to expect. I assumed that this was like the Zend platform which I'm familiar with. Boy was I wrong. I've been reading the Symfony manual all night, o...

Adding Reports to the Membership Subscription PRO
Jonathon Byrd Posted January 20, 2010 at 2:06 am
This is crazy! I'm being forced, by user request, to add some significant reporting abilities to the Membership Subscription PRO plugin. The request sounds simple: There needs to be a location that the administrator can see the subscription information, including expiration date.
Well, I've done it. I've gone digging into the Wordpress core and I've located the methods needed to string together...

Updates to the Membership Subscription
Jonathon Byrd Posted January 19, 2010 at 12:55 pm
We've been running into a lot of problems with the last update, the login form and some of the subscription forms were not wanting to display very easily. I've put a lot of upgrades into this version and I've also done everything that I could to make all of the codes and functions work for you.
So you shouldn't have any problems displaying subscriptions or logins on your pages.
I've posted ...

I can’t stand other peoples code.
Jonathon Byrd Posted January 8, 2010 at 11:13 am
Sorry about all of the errors showing on my website lately. I use it as a development server, so you might see fatal errors here and there. But that's not why you've seen all the small warnings. Those are generated from third party plugins that I've been testing out.
The forum for one. What a load of garbage, it doesn't notify me when somebody posts a message and the developer obviously never w...

Revision2.0 of Membership Roles Subscription Pro Completed
Jonathon Byrd Posted January 7, 2010 at 2:15 pm
It's amazing how much beta testing that a simple small plugin requires. I think that it's mostly me getting used to how the wordpress database functions work, how the hooks work and generally the fact that this plugin needs to be designed for all OS platforms.
Ok, I got it done. I stayed up all night with the help of Larry Griffin. He allowed me to test the plugin all night on his system. Which...

Migrating from my old websites and a new ecommerce idea
Jonathon Byrd Posted January 4, 2010 at 2:11 am
I've got all kinds of projects floating around in many different locations. So tonight I decided to start pulling them all together and dismembering the projects that I no longer support.
I apologize if you've run into this website and you cannot locate the projects or files that you intended on downloading.
I'm also thinking about a little product organization as well. I have many different...

Whoa! Fryin the brain on Capability Management
Jonathon Byrd Posted January 1, 2010 at 5:39 pm
Darren Di Lieto is needing the Membership PRO plugin for one of his clients, so I've switched gears from completing my Contact Form CRM to completing the Membership PRO plugin.
I've completed the Role Subscriptions Management, although I have not tested it thoroughly yet.
Right now I'm working on understanding how Wordpress Roles and Capabilities are managed within Wordpress. I've got to adm...
